Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Pick A Square. By creating, managing, or contributing to a campaign, you agree to them.

1. What Pick A Square provides

Pick A Square is a fundraising platform that lets organizers publish a board of contribution allocations. A square records the amount a supporter chooses to contribute. Squares do not provide a prize, raffle entry, odds, drawing, sweepstakes entry, or any chance-based benefit.

2. Organizer responsibilities

Organizers must provide accurate campaign information, have authority to fundraise for the named organization, use funds for the stated purpose, and comply with applicable laws and organizational policies. Organizers may not use the service for deceptive, illegal, discriminatory, or chance-based promotions.

3. Contributions, fees, and tips

Before payment, supporters see the square contribution, estimated payment-processing costs, any optional Pick A Square tip, and the total. Tips support operation of the platform and are optional. Payment processing and payouts are provided through Stripe and may also be subject to Stripe’s terms.

4. Payouts, refunds, and disputes

Campaign funds are routed to the organizer’s connected Stripe account, subject to Stripe verification, holds, reserves, and payout timing. Refunds, chargebacks, and payment disputes may reduce campaign proceeds and can be governed by Stripe’s processes. Contact support promptly if a payment appears incorrect.

5. Accounts and content

You are responsible for your account security and campaign content. You grant Pick A Square permission to host and display content you submit as needed to operate and promote your campaign. You retain ownership of that content and must have the rights to use it.

6. Service changes and enforcement

We may limit, pause, or remove accounts or campaigns when reasonably necessary to protect supporters, comply with law, address payment risk, or enforce these terms. The service may change as the product develops, and uninterrupted availability is not guaranteed.

7. Disclaimers and liability

Pick A Square does not guarantee that a campaign will reach its goal or that an organizer will use funds as described. To the extent allowed by law, the service is provided “as is,” and Pick A Square is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from use of the service.
