Privacy Policy
This policy explains the information Pick A Square processes, why we use it, and the choices available to you.
Information we collect
Account information: name, email address, authentication details, and security settings. Campaign information: organization details, campaign stories, board settings, and payout-account status. Contribution information: supporter name and email, selected square, contribution amounts, optional tip, payment status, and receipt or dispute references.
Payment information
Card and wallet credentials are collected on Stripe-hosted Checkout and are not stored by Pick A Square. Stripe processes payments, identity verification, connected accounts, fraud signals, and payouts under its own privacy terms. We retain identifiers and status information needed to reconcile contributions, receipts, refunds, transfers, and disputes.
How we use information
We use information to operate accounts and campaigns, reserve and claim squares, process and reconcile payments, provide organizer reports and supporter receipts, prevent abuse, secure the service, answer support requests, and meet legal obligations.
When information is shared
We share information with service providers needed to run the platform, including Stripe for payments and payouts and infrastructure providers for hosting, email, security, and monitoring. Organizer reports include contribution details needed to administer that campaign. Public boards show a supporter’s name only when the supporter chooses that option.
Cookies and security
We use essential cookies and similar storage for sign-in, session security, preferences, and fraud prevention. We apply access controls, encryption in transit, signed callbacks, and other safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
Retention and choices
We retain information for as long as needed to operate the service, maintain financial records, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and satisfy legal obligations. You may update account details in your profile or contact us to request access, correction, or deletion. Some financial or security records may need to be retained.
