Questions? Good.
Is it really free?+−
Yes. Creating and running fundraising boards costs organizers nothing—no subscription and no Pick-A-Square platform fee. Supporters see payment-processing costs and can choose whether to add a platform tip.
What sizes can a fundraising board be?+−
Anything from 25 to 400 squares. A 100-square board is a popular choice because it is easy to understand and satisfying to watch fill.
Can we run more than one fundraising board?+−
Yes. Each campaign has its own link, goal, board, status, and contribution report.
How are squares priced?+−
Choose increasing values—square 1 is $1, square 100 is $100—or one fixed value for every square.
How does the money reach us?+−
Campaign payments use Stripe Connect. Once your organization completes Stripe onboarding and payouts are enabled, Stripe sends funds to the connected account on its applicable payout schedule.
Are payments secure?+−
Yes. Card and wallet details are handled on Stripe-hosted Checkout. Pick-A-Square never receives or stores card numbers.
What does a supporter pay?+−
Before continuing to Stripe, supporters see the selected square value, the payment-processing amount, an adjustable platform tip, and the total. The tip can be set to zero.
How do people find our fundraising board?+−
Share its link by text, email, social media, newsletter, or QR code. There is no public campaign directory in the MVP.
Can supporters share it too?+−
Yes. Anyone with the campaign link can pass it along, and the public board updates as contributions are completed.
Do supporters need an account?+−
No. Open the campaign link, choose an available square, enter contact details, and continue to secure Stripe Checkout.
Can I pick more than one square?+−
The MVP checkout currently handles one square at a time. You can return to the board and complete another contribution for another available square.
Can I stay anonymous?+−
Yes. You can hide your name from the public board. The organizer still receives the information needed to reconcile the contribution.
Do squares include a prize or chance to win?+−
No. Squares are contribution allocations only. They provide no prize, raffle entry, odds, drawing, sweepstakes entry, or chance-based benefit.
